Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. The Somaliland Banking Association website is designed to conform with WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards across English, Somali, and Arabic.

Key Accessibility Measures Implemented

• Keyboard Operability: All interactive elements (navigation drawers, accordions, links, and forms) are fully navigable and operable via keyboard alone with visible focus rings.
• Contrast & Typography: All body text and core interactive elements adhere to strict minimum contrast ratios (exceeding 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for graphical UI elements). Exclusively clean, legible sans-serif typography is utilized.
• Bidirectional Layout Integrity: Arabic content is presented with genuine Right-to-Left (RTL) mirroring using CSS logical properties, maintaining semantic landmark hierarchy and correct reading order.
• Skip Navigation & Landmarks: A dedicated skip link allows screen reader and keyboard visitors to jump directly to primary content, bypassing header navigation.
• Motion Preferences: The interface respects operating system settings for prefers-reduced-motion, disabling animations and transitions for sensitive users.
